Saturday, May 29, 2010 @ 10:49 PMFriday, 28th of May (yes, i counted with my fingers again) 2010 8:00 a.m. woke up really early in the morning cause we had to go to universal studios, but i was REALLY tired that morning so i totally did not feel like going at all. Cause of that, i was very pissed off with practically everything that happened in the morning. not that anything much happened during the morning anyway...ANYWAY, we dressed and my mum INSISTED on putting on globs of SPF 25 suntan lotion on for us cause she's afraid that we might get sunburnt, some of it fell onto my pants and i made a big fuss out of it. wonder why i was so pissed?...probably cause i was still tired, i guess. :( 10:00 a.m [i bet the first thing that you see is the bolded "universal studios" right? i knew it!we(the words...duh) shouldn't have put it there. it's stealing the limelight from all the other words!] 10:30,"hey! how bout us?" [and the numbers...] arrived at IR at sentosa and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G with a capital(and bolded) "A" . okay, maybe not that amazing but it was still breath-taking. :) the whole place looked so unlike singapore, it's like a whole new world there, you know? then we went up and there, (BEHOLD BEHOLD) was the UNIVERSAL STUDIOS singapore globe, spinning and spinning and spinning. there was even mist, or whatever you call that, pouring out from the sides of the globe. THere was even MUSIC PLAYING AT THE BACKGROUND. :D took some pictures with the globe, then took our tickets and went in. firstly we took a walk down far far away. as we walked into far far away land, another music started playing :) even the floor tiles were different ^^ took the ENCHANTED AIRWAYS first (yes, i'm reading form the "studio guide" we took) it was not too bad but not exciting enough. But what can i say, it's a junior roller coaster after all. (: then we went to watch shrek 4-D adventure ^^ this one is totally fun!!!!!!! i dunno how to explain luh. but yah, super cute and cool luh... (: we were prisoners (or sth) that would be brought into the torture chamber to be totured cause we didn't want to tell the whereabouts of shrek and fiona, we were to put on some vision goggles or sth... "prisoners, please do not put on your goggles before entering the torture chamber, that is, if you want to trip and fall of course." and photography, eating or drinking was not allowed, and if caught, we would get a spanking. and the guy said that we should always reply "oh no!" when he mentions "spanking". SO. "NO EATING OR DRINKING OR PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED IN THE TORTURE CHAMBER, IF CAUGHT, YOU WILL GET A SPANKING!" "OH NO!" finally, we entered the "so-called" torture chamber and watched the movie... everytime donkey sneezes, droplets of "snot" would fly and land on my face (urg, i know) :D anyway, the movie was super cute and i totally enjoyed it ^^ 11:30 a.m. [the lost world] then we went to the lost world... the music changed yet again. this was one of the biggest "world" among the rest in USS (universal studios singapore...duh) first went to the (vry impt!) TOILET! haha. okay, then we went to the canopy flyer. we waited for around 20 mins before our turn came... my mum had to sit on her slippers cause she couldn't leave them at the side nor wear them on during the flight cause our legs were left dangling in the air. they were afraid that the slippers may fall off... the ride was okay... i guess. then we came down and went to the Jurrassic park rapids adventure. such a longgggg name. basically it's a river raft that went off course and steered into the "class-one" enclosures of dinos. WE WAITED FOR THIS RIDE FOR ONE HOUR AND THE RIDE ONLY LASTED FOR WHAT? 5 MINUTES?! i even had to wear a yellow raincoat cause they said that we might get wet, and possibly drenched. i stood there in the queue wearing a yucky yellow coloured raincoat, sweating and looking dumb for an hour... =.= worst ride ever. okay, though i got quite scared when the raft suddenly elevated and above us stood some kind of dinosaur that drools. okay, that sounded dumb, i realised. THEN after that ride my sister wanted to do (surprise surprise!) ROCK CLIMBING. so we went to the amber rock climb where she told her belayer that she was supposedly sporty =.= anyway, she managed to scale the big rock with fake fossils that were suppossed to be foot holds in about 15 mins? which was a great feat considering the difficulty of the climb( it was the hardest) and her height, and her experice, or the lack thereof. Then we went to buy lunch at "fossil fuels"(nice name) they sold hotdogs that were gigantic. i mean hotdog bread. bought 4 sets with fires and coke and went to watch the WATERWORLD performance.. we were about 10 mins late but still managed to catch the show, we sat at the front few rows and got DRENCHED. AGAIN. anyway, i only ate the hotdog in the hotdog bread cause i hated the bread, and ate the fries. the show was quite exciting, with explosions and gunshots and alot of fighting. AND everytime a jet skis past, i would turn to one side to prevent my fries from getting wet. what a great eating experience eh? yes, although that didn't sound like sacarsm, it was. 1:45 p.m Ancient Egypt Egypt^^ by far the bast place. went to put our bags in the lockers, which were also very cool. had to key in the D.O.B in this small screen which were surrounded by lockers, then choose a favourite colour, and we get our locker. To retrieve it, just go back and key in D.O.B again, choose the favourite colour that you chose before, and you'll be able to open the locker... cool or what? anyway, we went to play the REVENGE OF THE MUMMY! we entered this air conditioned "tomb?" that was dim litted, and had many fake mummy artifacts and crates inside. we walked and walked, the lights flickered occassionally, and this eerie music was playing in the background. occassionally, the assisstants that were dressed up in egyptian costume would peek behind the bends and scare people. my sis screamed when she saw this guy who didn't mean to scare her...anyway, when we reached the top, we didn;t have to wait long before we boarded the roller coaster. we were sitting at the front row(!) THEN THE TRAIN STARTED MOVING(OOOOOO.....) nah. it was an indoor roller coaster which was super scary. i screamed like dunno what there. i just felt very creeped out, and didn't know what to expect. THE FUNNEST AND SCARIEST RIDE SO FAR ^^ finally, something worth screaming. went out, and saw the pictures... in the picture that was taken, everyone was smiling except for me. i was screaming UNGLAM MUCH? then went to take another kiddy ride, the "TREASURE HUNTERS" the jeep was automated so there was no need for driving, they put a wheel and an acelerator there cause they wanted to fool the kids into thinking that they were driving the jeep all by themselves. tsk tsk tsk. how can they lie like that?! but the view was quite nice i must say ^^ the after that we went to sci fi city. this was suppossed to be the most thrilling one of them all and i was looking forward to it. i thought after all the kiddy rides i could play something that was worth the money but nooooooooo....all the exciting rides, the roller coasters were all under repair and the only thing that wasn't was yet another disappointment T.T this ride is called, "accelerator" which is this spinning cup that err spins? okay, wasn't fast enough, nor was it exciting enough. we didn't have seatbelts on that ride afterall. new york this was indeed an eye opener! the place(according to my mum and dad) looks very much like new york itself... ^^ we even took pictures with "madonna" (: went to watch a street dancing performance and went to sit in the middle of the road to watch it ^^ super cool can went to "lights camera action! hosted by steven spielberg" and witnessed the magic of special effects. we were brought into this room where we watched a video about film making by steven, then we were escorted another room next door to experience the movie making itself. the setting was placed in a house in new york city. we were all in the house. Then it started and the tv flickered to life and there was alot of rain. etc etc. it was super realistic! the whole thing ended with a gigantic boat crashing into the house (that stopped right infront of me) 0.0 then took photos and walked around. then we left new york and entered HOLLYWOOD there was nothing much except for the pantages musical that only started at 6:00 p.m. so we were told to come back later. we went around trying on silly hats at this hat shop ^^ and then we left. went to madagascar and music changed. ^^ there was different music for every world rmb? saw this gigantic boat which i thought was titanic. turned out to be this random ship that shipped alex, marty, melman and gloria to madagascar. my dad went to take the merry go round cause he thought that my sis was with him, but little did he know that my sis ran out of the queue thus leaving my poor dad to take the merry go round... in the end we still had alot of time so we went one more round and took pics... at 6 we went back to hollywood and watched this really weird performance by universal's infamous monsters in a rock and roll performance. they even performed "nobody" by wonder girls... hmmm... then went to meet relatives. had dinner. went to see the hotels and cabbed back. then watched docu till 12:00a.m. it was a super tiring day. Saturday, 29th of May 2010 woke up rlly late cause i was very tired. watched oh! my lady and played with the hamsters... booring day... haish. didn't do any homework. watched this super touching and romantic show on channel 5 called "the airport" or sth like that. i cried and cried so much. T.T it has been a long time since i cried like that over a english movie. and guess what(!) it was directed by STEVEN SPIELBERG. WHAT A COINCIDENCE! i'm going to expo with yijie tomorrow cause have food fair. meeting her at 1:00 at dover mrt ^^ my grandma is flying off to korea tonight, i got her to buy stuff back ^^ viikii has become very laggy since thursday :( must be because of hols. T.T shall update more if i have time (: ahnyong back to top? |

Sunday, May 23, 2010 @ 6:01 AMI found a piano vid on youtube on the piano version of bei ji xing de yan lei, also known as "tears from polaris" the OST of smiling pasta but it was too difficult so i decided not to learn it. BUT(!) that song kept playing in my head over and over again so finally, i decided to go back to the vid and decided to learn the song. okay, so then my tuition teacher came and we had tuition (duh) i was talking to her about getting the whole of singapore to master korean and she said i was crazy. she didn't want to take the french test that she paid $80 to enroll for. i told her she was crazy. she said, "你又不是第一天认识我。。。" did science assignment during tuition. then she told me that she was going to teach an indian student and she said that she knew how to write her name in tamil. 0.0 then she said that she taught a korean student once and that student taught her how scold in korean...then she said "mi-chuh-sso" and i was like...that means crazy right? and she said," you watch too much korean dramas already lah..." which means that i'm right! ooooohhhh.... i understand korean ^^ then she told me that her friend worked at a music shop and wanted to sell a second hand piano at a price of $300! which is super cheap! but i told her that we didn't have extra space at home to place the piano so uh-uh...we couldn't buy it...T.T anyway... my point is... i am determined to learn "tears from polaris" and i'm not going to give up no matter how hard it is..wish me luck ^.~ back to top? |

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 @ 4:29 AMI'M SERIOUSLY BORED CAUSE I FINISHED WATCHING EP 14 OF PERSONAL PREFERENCE AND I RLLY RLLY WANT TO WATCH EP 15 BUT IT'S NOT OUT YET. URG!!!! THAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH WATCHING DRAMAS THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE WHO EPS OUT YET. HEARD CATHY TALKING ABOUT OH! MY LADY IN CLASS TODAY. WENT TO FIND THE SYNOPSIS: A spunky 35-year-old housewife, Yoon Gae Hwa, takes on the job of manager to prickly top star Sung Min Woo in order to earn enough money to regain custody of her child from her ex-husband. Romantic hijinks and hilarity ensues when they find themselves in an awkward living situation. seems quite nice to me... maybe after watching personal preference i shall watch oh! my lady.this show reminds me of smiling pasta+ Boys Over Flowers + take care of the yound lady it's always the poorer one working for the richer one and they end up falling in love. Note that ALL dramas require the two main character to be working/living together. wait, My Girl is something like that too... holidays are coming so i think i shall prepare a huge stash of dramas to watch... dramas list 1. personal preference 2. Oh! my lady 3.prosecutor princess 4.cinderella's sister 5.A good day for the wind to blow 6. the woman who still wants to marry. and maybe creating destiny. which is 31 episodes so i don't think i can stick with it. and it's another show about the guy and girl not liking each other but are arranged to marry or sth. then they come up with plans to ruin the marrige but ends up falling for each other. AND the male lead in this drama also mistakenly gets the reputation of being gay which i don't think he is. seems like a nice drama but 31 eps seem too draggy so i shall see if i have time yeah. seems like quite a long list so you may ask if i can finish all of them within a month. hehe worry not. i think i'll be able to finish a drama within 3 days if i clock in 12 hours/day. so should be able to finish all. that is if the drama is not too boring ^^ my sis is dead... i wanna watch bao liao hei mei gui now. bye!^^ back to top? |

PROBLEM IS. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A UOB ACCOUNT!!!! SO WHAT DO I DO???!?!!!! back to top? |

Monday, May 17, 2010 @ 1:08 AMmother's day 2010 three days before mother's day on a thursday, i went with yijie to buy a present for my mum. we went to watson to look for cosmetics but couldn't find suitable ones so i decided to go to the body shop to buy a perfume set for my mum.tested out loads of diff typrs of perfume and yijie went to spray the perfume directly on her hand. like the perfume bottle was so close to her hand. in the end, she got perfume dripping down her hand. aiyo, you never use perfume before issit? nevermind... in the end we decided to get this perfume set called aqua something. okay, i can't remember it's name but the other one smelled like lavender. i hate lavender so didn't get that. when i got home, there was a new kitchen door installed and guess who i saw in the kitchen... yup MY MUM. i wanted to give her a surprise(!!!) so in the end i hid it in my parent's room. because 最危险的地方就是最安全的地方。 then i went into the kitchen and asked my mum what she needed for mother's day and she said, "aiya, don't have to buy me anthing la...i'll be contented if you draw me a card" hmmm.... why does that sentence seem so familiar? oh right. that's what she says every year. anyway i asked her if she needed perfume and she said, "why? you want to buy me perfume is it? aiyoh...don't need to buy me anything la... just..." and i cut her off "no la, who said anything about buying you a perfume... do you think i'm that rich?" and she said rather disappointedly "ohh.... nevermind, just draw me a card." and in the end i couldn't take it anymore...i dragged her to the room and gave her the gift. so much for the surprise. she was pretty touched (: yaye. skip skip then on mother's day, went to do walking trail with yijie. went to the pinnacle but the ppl there are very snobbish and they refused to open the doors. so we couldn't do the interview and then we took the bus back. yijie said she can't go back so earlier so she decided to follow me back. then my sis msg-ed me to ask if i was going to meet her later and i said yes. we were suppossed to buy a present for my mum. yijie said she would tag along. on the bus, yijie was being extremely annoying by touching me and when i squirmed, she would say, "STOP MOVING! I CAN'T SLEEP IF YOU KEEP MOVING"( she was leaning on my shoulder at that time. ) anyway, when we alighted at clementi, it was POURING and i'm not kidding. in the end we shared an umbrella with a malay lady. she was very kind but the umbrella was too small and i got pushed out of the umbrella and i was trying to tell yijie that but the woman was talking to her...the woman said, "nevermind, take your time! it's okay, don't need to rush." well i guess it's okay if you're not half drenched in rain. i was like soaked and yijie was completely dry cause she stood in the middle =.= well, at least it's a good thing that i didn't wear a white tee-shirt. god knows what would happen if i did. oops, i'm going off topic. then took an mrt from clementi and met my sis at jurong point. we looked for watches but most of them were priced at about $150 ++ so i had to go home to get more money. so the three of us went back and my sis had to wait outside cause she told my mum that she was going to do a project with her friends. went back with yijie and told my mum that i was going to change and yijie wanted to look at the hamsters. went to change into a white tee and took about $100. left for jp again. i wanted to but this exquisite watch from swatch that suits my mum to a tee but my sis wanted to buy the one from 25 hours. since it was my sis's gift, we had to go along with her. at 25 hours, we saw a watch that was quite functional. there was this male sales person that was attending to us and he was very ke lian cause my sis kept asking stupid questions like, "what's the moon for?" "what if the the moon thingy is not accurate?" "are you going to return the money if the watch is not accurate?" "are you sure the function is this?" "you are the adult so you should take responsibility shouldn't you?" and yijie was no better. you know i was so embarrassed i wished that the floor would just open up and swallow me in. the guy was quite jokey though. i bet the both of them was flirting with him lor. XPtwo guys also came afterwards, those guys turned out to be his friends. yijie said, "they're your friends? that one quite shuai leh..." and he was giving her that bewildered expression, "which one?" "there! the one in the white tee. yah that skinny one..." in the end my sis decided to buy the watch... haish, knew we shouldn't but what to do? my sis likes the guy(i think) so she decided to buy the watch. then yijie asked, "how old do you think she(my sis) is?" he took a look at her, "6?" "NO! I'M 11! i look like a 6 year old?" yijie asked again, "how old do you think i am?" and he took a look at her, "16?" yijie was very happy and she went, "woah, i look like i'm 16 leh... no la, i'm 13 (before b'day)" then she asked one more time, "how old do you think she is? (pointing to me)" he took a looooong look. "19?" i almost died. 19? i look like i'm 19????!!!!!! maybe it's because the both of them are too childsih so 凸现出我的"成熟-ness". next time shall try watching M18 movies. hehe. "she looks like she's 19?! she's 14 she's my CLASSMATE" then we asked him what his age was and he said he was 21.... then bought the watch and went to make a cake for my mum. yijie had to go off half-way so she didn't see the end product. i tell you the cake is *shakes head* unbelievably ugly can... i wonder what happened.what? NO...*shakes head* i certainly wasn't the one who made it... (FROM SOME RANDOM PERSON, "SHE MADE IT ALRIGHT. I SAW HER DOING THE ICING!") NO..when did you see it? when? when? huh? sorry. i got too carried away. presented cake and doughnuts. she was touched but i could tell that she didn't really like the watch although she said it was not bad. hamsters want to adopt a hamster anyone? exams i think i'm going to flunk them. history: i got A1 for the SA paper but as for the other papers, i did rlly badly like b4? so i doubt i'll still get an A1 geography: A2 for the SA paper which has a very high percentage but got A1 for assignments chinese: haven't gotten back the paper yet but i have little confidence in getting an A Lang Arts: A2 for R&J essay but i don't think i'll get an A for the compre:( i totally crapped about the chinese wedding tarditions and why it should be preserved. maths: i have confidence about getting an A! yay! maths used to be my weakest subject but it's my strongest subject amongst the other subjects this year science: i think i can't even get a B4 T.T i really don't think i can take up trip science nxt year T.T anyway, what's done cannot be undone so i shall wait patiently for the progress report to come out. i have no idea why but i keep having the feeling that i'll do very badly for all my tests and this will ruin my whole future. i know it's not that bad and i'm just being overly anxious but i keep thinking about it. day and night. haish. finished flash project(!) ^^ geography project...(ermmm....) random... I LOVE PERSONAL PREFERENCE(!!!!) i mean seriously...it's soooo good! one of the funniest k dramas i've ever seen. urg... i don't like viikii, i have no idea why it's not working even though i have the viikii pluggin. i've been looking and looking for a site which hosts the episodes that actually works. there's www.dramastyle.com forget about mysoju and viikii or youtube, if you wanna watch the dramas then these are the websites you may want to go. ^^ i've watched till episode 12 and i'm loving it! both of them make such a great couple. just that the scenes between the gay director and the main lead (forgot what his name was) just makes my hair stand on end. i have nothing against gays or lesbians or homosexual for that matter, i respect and admire your great love but i must say, it's kinda awkward if the other party is not homo don't you think? one day on my way to school, i was rushing to catch the bus and saw a guy walking idly. i envied the guy. but a thought suddenly came to my mind...what if the guy is envious of me? envious about me being able to rush off to somewhere, rushing off to do something. i had a place to go, something i have to do. and he. he might have nothing to do at all...nowhere to go, nothing to do....walking about aimlessly. Maybe he was envious. i kept thinking about it thinking and thinking and i slowed down unknowingly i missed the bus. i bought a new schoolbag from zinc yesterday. it's pink! yijie chose it. ^^ there's sports day on wednesday and i'm not going to participate in anything... i'm going to universal studio next week. i don't hate aesthetics, i just think that it's tiring. and boring. i love salt and vinegar potato chips i hear aeroplanes i like mr suria because he goes off topic and talk about interesting stuff like getting energy from the sun instead of the v. boring topic. light. but i also hate dislike him for that. you know what i mean? you know like miley cyrus's seven things (i like about you?). i'm not a miley fan but i know there's a sentence that goes something like "and the seventh thing i hate the most that you do... you make me love you..." "and the seventh thing i love(like?) the most that you do...you make me love you..." yes, it's suppossed to be like that. it's not a typo. i love dramas... and i think i'm addicted to theatre plays.. why????? little nyonya's theme song is playing in the background now.encore telecast i think. i want to bathe cause i'm all sticky from aesthetics just now. i know it's been a long post. so i'm going to end off here. i'm really going to end off here. really i'm going to do it now why are you feeling so annoyed?! i told you i'm ending it fine ahnyong i love dramas note to self: if televisions cease to exists next time, never forget it cause it's a wonderful invention. i think the annoying orange(?) on youtube is cute. hey apple! what?! knife. back to top? |

Saturday, May 1, 2010 @ 8:46 AMhere's the url to one of the actor's website; http://www.alivenotdead.com/limyubeng/animal-farm-in-hk--profile-892526.html i'm comin' back to hong kong! this march for a limited run from the 5th to the 7th, i'll be playing at the shouson theatre in a play i love, called animal farm. yes, for those of you who've read it, it's the george orwell novel about power, politics and the fallibility of us all. we've done it before, in singapore and new zealand, and this year's version promises to be killer, given the new state of the world. it's a very physical play (no animal costumes or anything like that, we do it all with the body) so if that's your thing, come check us out! i'm really happy to be back in the shouson theatre where i played in december. and looking forward to meeting my hk friends again! tickets are almost sold out, i am told, so check the hk arts festival website for details. here's a couple of pictures to give you an idea. the poster is from our first production, so ignore the dates. but yes, that's my purple ass on it. and this is a shot from the first performance. seems impressive? well, let me tell you, it is. when i was watching the show yijie was being very distractive and she even dropped her shoe -.- but the show was really engaging and 0.0 you know? like i get the feeling of inferiority when i see them perform. oh and the play brought back memories of my grandparents and the old jumbol place house at pasir panjang cause i remember watching that show when i was 5? 4? in my grandparent's room. i was super scared of the pigs in the show and had no idea what the story was about. all i knew was that the pigs were killed and their heads were hung on a pole or sth like that and i was creeped out by the show. and now, 9 years later, i'm watching the same story potrayed in a different way, and now...i understand the play ^^ we met seniors today and they're dressed like 0.0 and they put on makeup. i heard xiumei sayig something about not putting makeup and like meilianjianren or sth like that?>.< saw this LA drama instructor at the end of the play. you know? the one that always come and extra one, ya the guy? come to think of it... i did countless embarrassing things infront of that teacher... including acting like a rich arrogant qian jing da xiao jie fighting with some peasants and a maid over a small packet of rice? ahhhh!!!! so embarrassing (quote from aunty lucy) damn it. why do i always do embarrassing things infront of guys???? why????? i'm soooo tired....Zzzzzz and i'm suppossed to do a project at 11 tomorrow Zzzzzz ohhhhhh....*groaans* and the baby hamsters are doing well i must say. but one hamster is missing... i wonder if the mum ate it. bleugh... ewwwwwwwwwww back to top? |
